AFTER A LONG BREAK, WE ARE BACK!
Every once in a while, you need to take a break to regroup, recharge, and reinvent. Our last blog post was in November of 2015. Many people wondered what happened to us. The truth is, we have been quite busy! Here is what we have been up to for the last 8 months.
New Acupuncturists Certifications
After an intense 16 weeks, I received my certification as an Integrative Fertility Coach. This was a proud moment since I was one of the first ten acupuncturists in the world (yes world!) to receive this certification.
I am also taking an exam in August to become a Certified Holistic Nutritionist. Stay tuned for more updates on that topic. Right now, every spare moment I have is spent studying topics from cellular biology to glycemic index of certain foods.
We wanted to give our website a face-lift to freshen it. The new layout and design are more modern, and less cluttered. You all know how I feel about clutter. Check out my blog post on the Kon Mari Method to de-clutter. The new site should debut in the next month or so.
New Faces Around the Office
As much as I would love to be super woman and do it all, I realized that I can’t be everything to everyone. Autum has been tremendous and is blossoming into an amazing practitioner. Think of her as a more hipster version of me. She is also diligently studying to be the next Fellow of American Board of Oriental Medicine. We all love to study and take tests, can’t you tell?
With two offices and a continuous influx of patients, we decided it was time to search for the next fertility acupuncturist to join our team. After months of reading resumes and interviewing, we are excited to welcome Jocey Rodriguez, L.Ac., to the team.
Jocey hails from Miami, FL with 6 years of experience under her belt and even makes her own lip balm! To read more about Jocey and her story, please click on Meet the Team page.
For those who have visited the office in the last two months or so, you may have met the two new front desk Patient Care Coordinators: Amanda Maffey and Latrira Sarapo. Amanda experienced first hand the benefits of acupuncture while she sought out help to manage her stress. She is now one of our biggest advocates. Latrira recently joined us from Los Angeles, CA. Her interest in holistic living started while working at Whole Foods. She plans to continue her education in holistic nutrition, and hopes to be certified one day as a nutrition coach.
These two lovely ladies are the support system for our clinic. We can’t imagine life without them.
We have received so many inquiries regarding fertility yoga and we obliged! Starting on July 25th, Inner Peace Acupuncture will be offering a Monday evening fertility yoga class taught by our very own Autum Kirgan.
Autum is trained in a unique style of yoga called Dao Flow Yoga. It essentially combines the principles of Chinese medicine with that of yoga. The session is specifically focused on enhancing fertility, and each pose can be modified according to each person’s time of the cycle.
Enrollment will begin on July11th, and can be done online and in the office. The class will take place at the Inner Peace Acupuncture’s Charlotte location. Each class is $15 and there is a limit on class size (we are thinking 8), however, more classes can be added depending on the demand.
There you have it! We are back on track with our blog, Instagram, and Facebook. We are excited to start blogging again to share tips, success stories, and a glimpse of life at Inner Peace. If you haven’t already done so, make sure you “like” us on Facebook and follow us on Instagram.
