Seven Ways To Stay Sane and Improve Your Chances During the Two-Week-Wait (2WW)

You tracked your ovulation, you did the baby dance and now….you wait.

You find yourself “symptom checking.”

Ohhhh, is that an implantation cramp?

Do I feel slight nausea?

Veterinarian Acupuncturist

veterinarian acupuncturistYour Facebook and Instagram feeds were probably flooded with shots of everyone’s favorite canines the other week on National Dog Day (I know mine was!)— and it got me thinking about a friend of mine, Morgan Dixon, who does acupuncture for cats and dogs.

You read that right—she’s a veterinarian acupuncturist!

Acupuncture for Morning Sickness

Acupuncture for Morning Sickness

At Inner Peace Acupuncture & Wellness, helping you conceive is the first step to overcoming fertility challenges. The ultimate goal is to achieve a healthy pregnancy and deliver a healthy baby…or two. Using acupuncture during pregnancy not only helps to relieve symptoms such as nausea, acid reflux, insomnia, fatigue; it also helps to reduce risks of complications.

One of the things that acupuncture is becoming increasingly popular for is the management of morning sickness during pregnancy. There are lots of studies that have shown its effectiveness, and I am excited that this alternative method is receiving more media attention as well.

I am sharing a video segment from my friend and colleague Dr. Dan Hsu, DAOM., who was recently featured on PIX 11 in New York City. Dr. Hsu is a renowned acupuncturist and he was the first person EVER to give Oprah Winfrey acupuncture on her show!

Watch the video below to see what Dr. Hsu has to say about acupuncture and morning sickness.

From everything you’ve read, it seems like this diagnosis means your chances of conceiving are slim to none, and using donor eggs is the only solution.

Chances of Conceiving

That’s not necessarily true. I caught up with Dr. Bradley Hurst, Director of Assisted Reproduction from the Women’s Institute at Carolina’s Medical Center to get answers and clarify some of the confusion around this topic. Continue reading
