I decided to try acupuncture and found Adrienne via a web search. I was immediately impressed with her credentials, and after one visit, I knew she was exactly what I needed. She listened to my struggles, understood everything I went through in regards to my fertility journey and immediately knew exactly which acupuncture treatment to start me on. Additionally, she put me on a Chinese herbal regime. I stuck with the routine and what do you know, after only 3 short months, I fell pregnant NATURALLY! I contribute 100% of my ability to finally get pregnant to her!

I feel so lucky to have found Inner Peace Acupuncture! My experience with the entire team has been nothing but wonderful. From my very first visit a weight was lifted knowing i had a team behind me that has the knowledge and experience to get me through the challenges i face both physically and emotionally. I came to Inner Peace Acupuncture feeling hopeless with extremely painful and debilitating periods on top of “unexplained infertility”. I was told high doses of pain meds or a hysterectomy were my only options to deal with my pain. It feels like a miracle that after 4 months of treatment i have had my first pain free period in almost three years. Adrienne, Jocey and the IP team have given me restored hope in my future on this journey and i cant thank them enough!

I have always had very irregular periods. After starting treatments with Inner Peace Acupuncture for Women, and taking herbal teas, my periods were regular! I could not believe it. When my husband and I decided we were ready to try for a baby, I started fertility treatments and we got pregnant right away! It was wonderful! Adrienne and Autum are highly skilled, answered all of your questions and guided you through your treatments with ease. I always have people ask if acupuncture is painful? But all of our treatments have always been pain free and relaxing. I have continued my treatments during my pregnancy as well to help with my nausea and other side effects. It has worked like a charm to help me feel better during my morning, noon and night sickness! I highly recommend Inner Peace Acupuncture to anyone trying to pregnant! Everyone there is amazing!

MEET ADRIENNE
I know what it feels like when you’re confused, overwhelmed with advice and information, and scared that you won’t get to experience motherhood. That’s why I made the decision to dedicate my whole career to fertility.
It makes me happy knowing that every day, I help to create life and to make someone’s dream of parenthood come true.
The decision to study Chinese medicine and acupuncture was a return to my roots: I was born in China, and my mother was a Chinese medicine doctor. (She now practices in Charlotte and helps out around the office.) Her work exposed me to medicine from an early age. I remember drinking—shall we say “strong-smelling” herbs whenever I got sick, and despite the lousy smell, they always worked.
With a doctor in the family, I hadn’t considered a career in Chinese medicine until I had to turn to acupuncture and herbology as an adult when I had trouble with my own health. I was diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), and I didn’t want to take birth control pills because that was a Band-Aid and not a solution. I also didn’t understand much about the condition because my doctor at the time said “Can’t do anything about it, just ride it out.” Despite the struggles, Chinese medicine worked for me!
After that experience, I knew I’d found my mission to help others, especially women. I knew that I wanted to help them work through their challenges and to achieve their goals with less stress, anxiety, and heartache.
This brings me to you.
I’m thrilled to have this opportunity to work with you. I know that together we’ll get there by jumping over hurdles one by one. I don’t believe in infertility. I believe that all women are essentially fertile and that you ultimately have the power to take action, take charge, and become pregnant.

I was told growing up my irregular and uncomfortable symptoms were normal and easily fixed with a pill. I always knew there was another way, a way that aligned with my beliefs and addressed the true imbalance at hand.
While in acupuncture school, I went on a journey to understand my symptoms and with the knowledge from Traditional Chinese Medicine, I began to feel the best I’ve ever felt in my life. I now feel very confident my diagnosis of PCOS will not hold me back from becoming a mother in the future.
My passion is to help you harness your healing capabilities to reach your health and fertility goals- whatever that might look like to you.

MEET TARA
When I trying to conceive I was diagnosed with PCOS and endometriosis. I was devastated without an understanding of what this meant for my body and the possibility of pregnancy seemed out of reach. I wasn’t given many alternatives aside from ovulatory medications and IUI. Eventually, after another obstacle, male factor infertility entered the discussion and we were told that IVF was our only option.
I began reaching other options, other modalities, there had to be another way! It was then that I discovered Traditional Chinese Medicine! I dove straight into learning the ins and outs of TCM and how this traditional medicine didn’t view my PCOS and endometriosis the same way I was taught to view it. Instead with TCM I was able to approach my PCOS and Endometriosis as symptoms of an underlying and treatable condition.
TCM and the Practically Fertile® Methodology developed by Dr. Wei lead me to two successful pregnancies, restored my cycles and reversed my PCOS.
I was thrilled to have the opportunity to become certified in the methodology that I believed in and trusted in that had its foundations rooting in TCM. That’s what brought me here today, a fertility coach able to help other women on the same journey. And to bring hope and guidance to that same journey that no longer needs to feel impossible!

When it comes to your health and wellness, questions abound. We are here to listen and guide you to the best answers to any query you may have. If you don‘t see your question answered here please don‘t hesitate to get in touch with us.
What does acupunture feel like?
Many first-time patients are concerned that acupuncture needles will feel like hypodermic injections at the doctor’s office. They won’t. Acupuncture needles are hair-thin and flexible. Most people hardly feel the insertion.
When the needles are gently stimulated, they produce a unique sensation that in Chinese medicine is called de qi. Patients often describe the sensation of de qi as a heavy, achy pressure, or spreading, twitching feeling. You may also feel an “electrical” sensation moving down the meridian pathways, though this is less common. Most patients find these acupuncture sensations deeply satisfying and leave the treatment feeling relaxed both mentally and physically.
Is acupuncture safe?
Yes. Acupuncture is used by millions of Americans every year. Acupuncturists are required to undergo extensive education, including detailed studies of human anatomy, physiology, and training in Clean Needle Technique. The needles used are pre-packaged and 100% sterilized. They are only used once and then are properly disposed of in labeled biohazard containers.
Acupuncturists receive a Master’s Degree, are tested to be licensed in their state, and require continuing education courses every 2 years. Acupuncturists in our clinic have received an additional 2 years of Herbology education, and are certified in the Practically Fertile® Methodology.
Is an Initial Consultation the same as a Free Discovery Call?
No. A free discovery call is simply a 10 minute conversation to answer any questions you may have about acupuncture, our methods, and whether or not our methods will benefit you and your condition. To schedule a free discovery call, please call 704.307.7821.
An Initial Consultation is a $75 30-minute Zoom meeting, Facetime, or phone call (according to your preference) which is the first step to your treatment. You will submit preliminary paperwork, and meet with a practitioner about your health history, diet, lifestyle, current condition, goals, etc., and from it you will receive a treatment protocol and schedule your next appointment for in-house acupuncture treatment.
To schedule an Initial Consultation, you can call the clinic or schedule online here.
How long do I need to come for treatments?
Most of our patients start to see results after the first few treatments, if not immediately. Your Acupuncturist will be able to give you a specific treatment plan after your initial discovery session, and work with you to follow the plan consistently.
What conditions have you treated?
Acupuncture and Chinese medicine are effective in treating the following conditions:

What happens if I’m not pregnant after 6 months?
If you’re not pregnant after following our suggestions step-by-step along with consistent treatments, there may be hidden medical conditions. These conditions may be polyps, blocked tube, uterine infections, structural issues with the uterus, etc. We’ll refer you to a Reproductive Endocrinologist within our network if you don’t already have one.
Do you ever have people who don’t become pregnant even with your help?
Yes. Everyone’s situation is different and it’s possible that even giving it 110% doesn’t equal results. Some of these patients will move on to IUI or IVF, and use acupuncture in conjunction with the treatments to ensure success the first time around. Continuing acupuncture along with Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) multiplies your success. For more information on Acupuncture and ART, click here.
The best advice we can give you is to take daily actions towards achieving your goal.
How long do I need to come for treatments?
If you are being treated for fertility, results can be seen in 3-6 months, whether it be in your cycle, ovulation, or even pregnancy. The timeline is different for everyone.
